MOVIES QUESTION #6197
Who directed the first Toy Story movie from 1995?
John Lassetter
Explanation
It was a sensation when the company Pixar premiered the first purely computer-animated feature film, "Toy Story", in 1995. The movie was a major success both because of its look and catchy story, but equally because of the voice-overs done by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen who performed the voices of Woody and Buzz Lightyear, respectively. The film was directed by John Lassetter, a of co-owner of Pixar. "Toy Story 2" was also succesful, however "Toy Story 3" was not released until 2010, when it proved a major critical, and especially, commercial success. Indeed, "Toy Story 3" went on to become the best-selling animated movie of all time.
