The American actress Michelle Pfeiffer (born 1958) originally wanted to be a reporter but found her natural call as an actress. She had a minor part in "Scarface" in 1983, but had her real breakthrough as the female lead in the film "The Fabulous Baker Boys" from 1989. Here, she stars opposite Jeff Bridges. Many will also recognise her in the role as Catwoman in the film "Batman Returns" from 1992. Other highlights of her career include "I am Sam", "The Story of Us" and "Hairspray". After a period with less films, she returned in 2012 with the film "Dark Shadows", directed by Tim Burton. Pfeiffer is of German, Swedish, Dutch, Swiss and Irish descent.
