The American actress and singer Barbra Streisand (born 1942) always dreamt of being an actress. She performed in various plays on Broadway in the 1950s and 1969s and broke through on the big screen with her role in "Funny Girl" (1968), a role for which she also won an Oscar. After then, roles started flooding in, but she also took time to direct films. The first film she directed was "Yentl" in 1983, after which followed "Savannah" (1992) for which she was nominated for several Academy Awards. More recently, Streisand has appeared in the comedies "Meet The Fockers" and "Meet The Parents: Little Fockers" in 2004 and 2010 respectively. In both, she plays opposite Dustin Hoffman.
