After this, several others, including the Skladanovski brothers in Germany, the Brighton school in England and Edwin S. Porter in the US started producing. In 1915 and 1916, the first 'film master', D.W. Griffith, made 'Birth of a Nation' and 'Intolerance'. If the pioneers invented the language of films, then D.W. Griffith invented the grammar behind.
