Lance Armstrong (born 1971) is an American former professional cyclist. He won the World Cup in 1993, and has won Tour de France seven times in a row in the years 1999-2005 for the team US Postal (later Team Discovery Channel). Againt difficult odds, Armstrong beat testicular cancer, which had spread to his brain and lungs, in 1996. Armstrong stopped his cycling career for good in 2011. In 2012 USADA declared Armstrong's victories invalid. In 2013 Lance Armstrong admitted having used doping throughout his career.
