The American actor Greg Kinnear (born 1963) lived all over the world as a child, because his father was in the foreign service. Eventually he ended in Los Angeles, however, where he became an actor. He landed his first roles in the 1990s and broke through with his role in "As Good as it Gets" from 1997, for which he also received an Academy Award nomination. Kinnear has appeared in many comeides, including "Stuck on You" (by the Farrelly brothers) and "Ghost Town", where he plays opposite Ricky Gervais. He has also played more serious role, such as the cocky lifestyle coach in the excellent "Little Miss Sunshine" from 2006. Kinnear originally wanted to become a journalist and has a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Arizona.
