Juliette Binoche (born 1964) is a French actress. She was only 23 years old when she made her English-language debut as Tereza in "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", where she plays opposite Daniel Day-Lewis. The Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski spotted her talent, and hired her for the starring role in his film "Blue" from 1993. Many will also recognise her from films such as "Chocolate", "Paris Je T'aime" and "The English Patient". These days, she mostly films in the US, although she still does some French productions. The French pres calls her "La Binoche".
