The British actor Ralph Fiennes (born 1962) trained to be an actor at a variety of institutions in the 1980s and started landing parts in tv series soon after. His first film role was in 1992 as Heathcliff in the film "Wuthering Heights", based on the Emily Brontë novel of the same name. He gained real critical acclaim with the part as the evil Amon Goth in "Schindler's List" from 1993, for which he received and Academy Award nomination. He was nominated again in 1997 for his lead role in "The English Patient". Since then, he has featured in films such as "In Bruges", "The Reader" and "The Constant Gardener", and many will also recognise him as Lord Voldemort in the film series "Harry Potter". When he scared the children during the filming he knew he had found the perfect way to play the role.
