The American actress Sandra Bullock (born 1964) first starte appearing in films in the late 1980s. She debuted in the film "Hangmen" from 1987. Her break-through role was in "Speed" from 1994 - a role she repeated in the 1997 sequel. After this she starred in less succesful films such as "Agent Catwalk" and "28 Days". She gained her first Academy Award nomination in 2010 for her role in "The Blind Side", and ended up winning it, against both Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep. When she was a child, Bullock dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer.
