The 49th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took placer in Istanbul in 2004 after Sertab Erener from Turkey took home the title the year before with the song "Every Way That I Can". The Ukrainian superstar Rusland won, clad in a very revealing "Xena - The Warrior Princess"-outfit. Her song was called "Wild Dances", and it later became a huge hit back home in Ukraine, where it sold double platinum. The song also topped the charts in Greece and Belgium and was second in the Turkish charts.
