American actor and comedian Robin Wlliams was born in Chicago in 1951. He started his acting career in the 1970s and broke through on the big screen with his starring role as Garp in "The World According to Garp" (1982). Five years later he received an Oscar nomination for his role in "Good Morning, Vietnam". He was nominated again in 1989 and 1991, for "Deat Poets Society" and "The Fisher King" respectively. In "Dead Poets Society" he played opposite Ethan Hawke. Williams finally won an Oscar for his role in "Good Will Hunting", directed by Gus Van Sant. He used his comedian side for two films in the "Night at the Museum" series, where he plays former president Teddy Roosevelt. It's a fun detail that Williams was voted "least likely to succeed" by his high school friends.
