The English actor Ben Kingsley was born in 1943. He is a well-respected and highly acclaimed actor who can largely pick and choose his roles. His probably most famous role is that as Gandhi in the 1982 film of the same name. This role also landed him an Academy Award. In "Schindler's List" (1993) he plays Iztzak Sterhn, Schindler's right hand. His role in "House of Sand & Fog" was also highly acclaimed. Here, he plays opposite the beautiful Jennifer Connelly. In the latter years Kingley has appeared as the film maker George Méliès in Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" from 2011. Ben Kingsley's ancestors come form the same state in India as Mahatma Gandhi.
