Alfred Hitchcock's creative attempt at bypassing Hollywood's "Hays code' lead to one of the most sexy kisses ever in film history. In public votes, Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant's kiss in the film "Notorius" (1946) invariably ends on top. Hays Code did not allow kisses that lasted more than a few seconds so Alfred Hitchcock instructed Bergman and Grant to repeat several short kisses, whilst Grant e.g. answered the telephone. This created the sensation of a never-ending kiss, though it really only lasted a few seconds at the time.
