HISTORY QUESTION #6301

According to a persistent rumour, George Washington had teeth made out of wood. An examination has shown that his false teeth were made out of a different material altogether. Which one?

All of these

Explanation

The first president of the USA, George Washington (1732-1799) is known as being one of 12 presidents who was also a mason. More interesting, however, is the persistent rumour that he had wooden teeth. Contrary to popular belief, however, none of his teeth were made out of wood. His several sets of false teeth were made out of gold, hippopotamus ivory and lead, as well as real teeth from both humans and animals, including horses and donkeys.
