'The Lion King' is an animated Disney film from 1994. It tells the story of the lion cub Simba, who one day will have to take over the throne as the Lion King after his father, Mufasa. Mufasa's brother Scar wants the throne for himself, and Simba escapes into the jungle, where the meerkat Timon and the warthog Pumba save him. When Simba grows up he returns to take up the fight. Tim Rice and Elton John both wrote songs for the film, which grossed the most money world-wide in 1994 (784 million dollars).
