Fanta is a carbonated soft drink from the Coca-Cola Company. It was the first 'left over' soft drink, invented in Germany in 1941, because the company struggled to source the right ingredients for Coca Cola because of the war. Therefore, a new drink was invented, based on the ingredients, such as whey and pomace, that were available. The name Fanta comes from the German 'Fantasie', meaning imagination. Today there are over 90 different Fanta flavours available worldwide.
