The Beatles was a British rock band formed in 1958 in Liverpool by John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison. In 1962, Ringo Starr joined. The band had its international breakthrough in 1963 with the song "She Loves You (Year Yeah Yeah)" which like the majority of their songs was written by Lennon and McCartney. The band's concerts were marked by hysterical incidents, and in 1966 the band stopped touring. The band split up in 1970.
