The car make Trabant was produced in Zwickau in the former GDR between 1957 and 1991. 3,096,099 Trabants were produced in total in various models: P50 (1957), P60 (1962), Trabant P601 (1964) and Trabant 1.1 (1989). The Trabant was a small, very spartan car with a two-stroke engine with 26 horsepower from a 600 cc displacement.
