What is the name of the Titan in Greek mythology who steals fire from the gods and brings it to humanity hidden in a fennel stalk?
Bet your knowledge and answer Start the quizCorrect answer
Prometheus
Explanation
Prometheus was the son of the Titan Iapetus, who was the god of fire. When he gave fire as a gift to humanity, he crossed Zeus, who therefore chained him naked to a rock (according to some, a rock in the sea) and sent an eagle to eat his liver. This organ turned out to be immortal, as it regrew every night, after which the eagle would eat it during the day.
