What is the city Cusco in Peru known for?

Explanation

According to the Incas, Manco Capac was sent by the Sun God to Earth with his sister and wife Mama Ocllo. He sent them to Lake Titicaca on the border between Peru and Bolivia to lead a group of people. Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo carried a golden staff, which they were supposed to carry around until it sank into the earth. After a long walk it finally did, and on the spot, the capital of the Incas, Cusco, was founded.
