Hugo Boss AG is a German fashion house based in Metzingen south of Stuttgart. Hugo Boss primarily produces fashionable men's wear which is sold in most corners of the world. The company was founded in 1923 by Hugo Ferdinand Boss who already became a member of the German Nazi party in 1933. In the 1930s Hugo Boss received large orders for uniforms for the German army and Hitler Jugend. In this dark period of the company's history, it also used forced labour from Western and Eastern Europe.
