Nicolas Vinding Refn considered a major talent in Danish cinema. He left Denmark in search a bigger pond after a string of big hits in Denmark, including the "Pusher"-trilogy and "Bleeder". He debuted internationally as a director with "Fear X" starring John Tutturo, which while being a commercial failure did open more doors for Refn. In 2011, he made it to the top in Cannes, winning the Best Director's award for his movie "Drive".
