Nicolas Vinding Refn considered a major talent in Danish cinema. He left Denmark in search a bigger pond after a string of big hits in Denmark, including the "Pusher"-trilogy and "Bleeder". He debuted internationally as a director with "Fear X" starring John Tutturo, which despite its commercial failure did open some doors for Refn, and his movie with "Bronson", starring Tom Hardy, was more successful. In 2011, he made it to the top in Cannes, winning the Best Director's award for his movie "Drive".
