In 1834 Ada Byron (Lovelace) heard about Charles Babbage's idea of "The Analytical Engine". She was inspired by the idea and therefore wrote down a plan for how the machine could make calculations. This plan is now considered to be the world's first computer program. In an article in 1843, Byron actually predicted that such a calculator could be used in the future to compose music, to make graphics and for both scientific and practical use. She got right, but died only 36 years old.
