Bet your knowledge and answer
An audiobook is a recording of a text being read. It can exist as a cassette, CD or MP3-file. Audiobooks can partly substitute printed books and are widely used today. Typically, they are recorded by an experienced narrator and are used by the blind and visually impaired, by children learning to read and by grown-ups who are weak readers. There are also many people who enjoy listening to an audiobook whilst driving or doing the ironing. That way, they get to "read" some books whilst doing their chores or getting to or from work.
