ABBA was a Swedish pop group, formed in 1970 by Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog. The first letters of their first names together make up the band name ABBA. Their break-through came with "Ring" in 1973, but they really gained fame after winning the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with "Waterloo". Since then, a long list of hits ensued, including "SOS", "Fernando", "Hasta Mañana" and "Dancing Queen". The group separated in 1982.
