WW2 has, since it took place, been the focal point for several films. As it was a World War, the films also became very different geographically. The film 'Saving Private Ryan' took part mostly in France, and 'Der Untergang' in Germany. Of course, most of the films looked at the war from a US perspective, but some took different angles. As an example, Clint Eastwood made the film 'Letters from Iwo Jima', which portrays the war in the Pacific Ocean from a Japanese perspective.
